Russian Meteorite Update

Wow! Almost 1200 people were injured! Official figures say 3724 houses, 671 education institutions and dozens of social, medical, sports and recreation facilities were damaged by the blast.

The object weighed at least 10 tons and was traveling 20 Km/sec. before it hit our atmosphere! That’s over 44,000 m.p.h! That makes it the second largest space object to hit the Earth in a century! (BTW, the last one hit Russia too)
