Extra Credit Projects

Research Project #1 (for students who scored 19 points or less, ONLY!)

Write a three page, typed (double space, 11 point font) paper explaining about current research into nanomachines. You should make sure that you define both machines and nanomachines. Tell something about the current research and possible uses for this technology. Make sure that you list all your sources (books, magazines, encyclopedias, etc. As well as, any web addresses, if you found info on the internet) NO CUT AND PASTE! MUST BE IN YOUR WORDS!!

This project is worth 15 points max.

Research Project #2

Write a two page or more, typed (double space, 11 point font) paper explaining about one of the following topics… NO CUT AND PASTE! MUST BE IN YOUR WORDS!!

1. How simple machines helped build ancient structures like the pyramids, or the Incan road system.

2. How simple machines can be found in modern robots and how those robots work.

Make sure to list all the sources you used to get your information.

This project is worth 10 points max.

ALL EXTRA CREDIT IS DUE BY MIDNIGHT TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24, 2013 – NO EXCEPTIONS!
