No. It totally is free speech. and, it is the most protected form of free speech, political speech. Lord knows I heard that from enough right wingers. They were arguing that it was wrong to “de-platform” right wing pundits just because they were lying about vaccines, elections, mass shootings and such. Lies should be protected they inferred since not everything those pundits were saying was a lie.

I never followed that “logic”. But what Jimmy Kimmel said was not a lie. It was an opinion/observation, and it was true. I’m sure those right wingers who were clutching their pearls a few years ago will defend Mr. Kimmel. Right?
